In 2003, Professor Richard Wiseman at the University of Hertfordshire in the UK gathered people in an old hall in London to listen to contemporary music. In the middle of the concert, he emitted infrasound from a 7-metre long pipe. As a result, 22% of the audience felt strange sensations during the emission of infrasound. Wiseman suggested that the ghosts could be a kind of sensory abnormality caused by the infrasound.
