Mizuho Nishikubo's latest animated feature film, Giovanni's Island has been selected for the AnimaFICX competition at the 52nd Gijon International Film Festival (FICX 2014), to be held in Gijon, Spain, from November 21 to 29, 2014.

With its origins dating back to 1963, the Gijon International Film Festival is one of the longest running film events in Spain and a FIAPF-recognized festival that attracts more than 70,000 attendees every year.
The AnimaFICX section, entirely dedicated to animated feature films, has been introduced this year with the purpose of showcasing some of the most suggestive, daring and avant-garde films of nowadays movie making in animation.
