Mizuho Nishikubo's new animated feature film, Giovanni's Island is screening in the official selection, Family Section of the 58th BFI London Film Festival (LFF 2014), to be held in London, UK, from October 8 to 19, 2014. The screening in London marks the film's UK premiere.
Director Mizuho Nishikubo will be attending the screening on October 10, 2014 for a Q&A session with the audience.

The London Film Festival describes the film as follows:
"Nishikubo's anime successfully balances the innocence of childhood with harsh reality and the brutality of war." (Justin Johnson, LFF 2014)

Established in 1953 and organised by the British Film Institute, the London Film Festival is the UK's largest public film event, screening more than 300 features, documentaries and shorts from almost 50 countries.
