Kimihiro Watanuki has a unique predisposition: he can see ghosts that are roaming in this world, otherwise invisible to the human eye, and is easily possessed by spirits of all kind. Even today, he is struggling to get away from an enormous number of ectoplasmic entities hovering over him. But when he coincidentally touches a wall nearby, the ghosts disappear. Being curious, he peeks inside and suddenly finds himself drawn to the walled mansion, as his feet were controlled by somebody else. Inside the mansion, he encounters with the proprietor of "the shop", Yuko Ichihara. "This shop makes your wish come true", the gorgeous lady explains. Then, Watanuki asks Yuko to adjust him so that he would never see the ghosts again. But in return, Yuko orders him to work in the shop...
