Mamoru Oshii's Tachigui: The Amazing Lives of the Fast Food Grifters (original title: Tachiguishi Retsuden) will receive its Korean premiere at the 8th Jeonju International Film Festival (JIFF 2007), held from April 26 to May 4, 2007 in Jeonju, ROK. Tachigui will be presented in the Cinemascape Section, a showcase for new films which open a new aesthetic horizon, made by masters who stand on the top of film aesthetics. One of the films in this section will be selected as JIFF Favorites by audience vote.

At its 8th edition, JIFF focuses on independent and art films alternative to the main streams. The prestigious French movie magazine, Cahiers du cinema, describes JIFF as "a film festival, selecting more progressive, independent films that can approach to audiences with a distance from the Commercialism. This Festival must exist for today's true cinephiles."

JIFF 2007 is also featuring a special program dedicated to director Mamoru Oshii, called "Midnight Obsession 3. Amazing World of Mamoru Oshii," that will include Urusei Yatsura 2: Beautiful Dreamer (1984), Maroko (1990) and Talking Head (1992), for which Production I.G created the animated segment.
