Yoshimi Itazu's directorial debut mid-lenght film Pigtails garnered the Best Animated Short Award and Best Original Score Award (to composer Ichiko Aoba) at the February 2018 session of the Global Film Festival Awards (GFFA). Winners were announced on March 11, 2018.
So far, Pigtails has received 24 recognitions, of which 6 have been awarded to Ichiko Aoba's music score and theme song, Kami-sama no Takurami / Divine Design.

The Los Angeles-based GFFA is an open door for independent filmmakers from all over the world, supported by a special jury formed by Hollywood producers, European and international distributors to promote films and new media.
