Yoshimi Itazu's directorial debut mid-lenght film Pigtails was awarded Best Animation and Best Score (to Ichiko Aoba) at the June Session of Top Shorts 2017.
The two awards bring at 22 the number of recognitions received by Pigtails so far, of which five were achieved by Ichiko Aoba's delicate and haunting musical score, and for the song, Kami-sama no Takurami / Divine Design.
