Zenjiro (23) Coming from a samurai family, he left the sword behind him and changed several jobs, until he decided to become a painter. Zenjiro is apprenticing under Kikukawa Eizan, but he's also hanging out at Hokusai's place, attracted by Tetsuzo's art. Great drinker and inveterate womanizer, he will become one of the most representative artists of the late Edo period, under the art name Keisai Eisen. However, right now he is still struggling with the immaturity of his own art. He's often scolded by Hokusai, and O-Ei brutally calls him Brazen. Check Zenjiro's historical profile here. |
