Naoyoshi Shiotani's award-winning full-length feature film debut, Blood-C: The Last Dark is part of the Official Selection at the 37th Annecy Animation Film Festival, to be held in Annecy, France from June 10 to June 15, 2013. The screening in Annecy marks the film's French premiere.

Annecy Artistic Director, Marcel Jean, commented on this year's selection that "Japanese production has particularly stood out through the number and quality of science fiction, horror or genre films."

Established in 1960, the Annecy Animation Film Festival is the world's oldest and most prestigious animation film festival. This year, the festival received 2461 entries from 88 countries, of which 87 were feature films.
