Kazuto Nakazawa's Asience: Hairy Tale has been selected in competition for the Applied Animation Section of the 12th Holland Animation Film Festival (HAFF 2008), to be held in Utrecht, the Netherlands from November 5 to 9, 2008.

This year the festival received more than 1700 entries in total. 358 works were eligible for the Applied Animation Section, and 120 were selected: 53 commercials, 16 educational, 26 leaders, and 25 music videos.

The Holland Animation Film Festival (HAFF) is an internationally recognized animation festival and offers a unique, state-of-the-art selection of animated films for a diverse public. The intimate environment guarantees a great opportunity for the interested public, filmmakers and producers. In the previous edition of 2006, HAFF awarded Kirin Lemon Black as Best Commercial.
