Producer, Anime Department at Shochiku Co., Ltd. Main projects include the feature film Dead Leaves, Aria the Natural for TV and the OVA, Karas.

What is your main task in the Le Chevalier D'Eon project?
As a producer at Shochiku, I am in charge of marketing and overseas distribution. In regards to Le Chevalier D'Eon, I feel it has the power to even attract movie lovers who regularly watch movies on WOWOW.

How is Le Chevalier D'Eon actually performing?
At the the Festival de Cannes 2006, we showed the promotional trailer. Buyers from all over Europe expressed that they couldn't wait to see the completed version of the first episode. I felt their mounting enthusiasm. I now intend to push sales in North America as well as in Europe.

What are your prospects for this series?
We are venturing to do something different from the current trend of anime today. Because it's unconventional, it will be totally distinct from other animes. We will win over with our challenging spirit!
