The Girl from the Other Side short film, directed by Yutaro Kubo and Satomi Maiya, has been selected for International Competition at the 27th Stuttgart Festival of Animated Film (ITFS 2020). Although the on-site festival, scheduled from May 5 to 10, 2020, has been cancelled due to the COVID-19 emergency, the festival is going to be held online during the same dates, and the juries will announce the winners. The complete 2020 competition programme will be shown at ITFS 2021, scheduled from May 4 to 9.

With audiences totalling 50,000, 1,500 accredited professional visitors and 500 films in its latest editions, the Stuttgart Festival of Animated Film is one of the most important and largest event for animated film. Since its launch in 1982, the Festival has continued to support artistic animated film, young talented filmmakers and the animated film industry.
