Overview
In the 20th anniversary from its foundation, Production I.G announces a new collaboration with Shirow Masamune, the internationally celebrated author of Ghost in the Shell. This dream collaboration takes the shape of a totally new 22-episode TV series, entitled Ghost Hound (original title: Shinreigari / Ghost Hound), premiering in Japan on October 18, 2007 on WOWOW.

The main staff includes director Ryutaro Nakamura (Serial Experiments Lain, Kino's Travels), scriptwriter Chiaki J. Konaka (Serial Experiments Lain, The Big O), character designer Mariko Oka (Hell Girl, Jing: King of Bandits) and art director Hiromasa Ogura (Patlabor 2: The Movie, Jin-Roh).
The comic version, Ghost Hound: Another Side, drawn by Kanata Asahi, started serializing in Japan on Monthly Comic Blade (published by Mag Garden) from March 30, 2007.

Story
This world we live in, the "Apparent World" had another counterpart since long before the cyber age. From ancient times, people referred to it as the "Unseen World."

Taro, Makoto and Masayuki are three junior high school boys who live in Suiten, a small town in a remote region of Northern Kyushu. Each one experienced a trauma in their childhood they could not erase. Because of this, or of other reasons, they all learned to traverse to the Unseen World, by slipping their souls.

Ghosts dwelling in the Unseen World, did never manifest in the Apparent World. However, the Unseen World was going through an adverse change.

And now, that change is starting to extend into the Apparent World...
