The King of Fighters:
Another Day

The King of Fighters (KOF) was first released as a 2D fighting game for arcades in 1994. For more than a decade, it has been very popular among gaming fans all over the globe, with some 3.5 million copies the game series shipped to all continents. KOF has now been made into an authentic high-quality anime to meet intense fan demand. The King of Fighters: Another Day is a 4-episode miniseries which illustrates the worldview of the KOF universe, and has been produced preceding the release of PlayStation 2 game software The King of Fighters: Maximum Impact 2, scheduled in the spring of 2006.

The four episodes are set in Southtown, the imaginary city well known to all fans as the stage of numerous death matches throughout the KOF series. Many past heroes of the saga make their appearance here, and the four plots intertwine to create a large-scale drama, that is also linked to the story of KOF Maximum Impact 2.

The animation is produced by Production I.G's Studio 9, which is known for the Ghost in the Shell: S.A.C. series. The crew includes director Masaki Tachibana and character designer Makoto Shimomura.
