JUNICHI FUJISAKU - Chief Director and Series Supervisor
Born on August 6, 1967. Game Production Department Chief Director and scriptwriter, Fujisaku was one of Team Oshii's core members. With Kenji Kamiyama, he participated to the creation of the theatrical feature Blood: The Last Vampire (2000), for which he also directed the game version and wrote the novelization. While being the mastermind behind the hit game series YaruDora (1998), he also gave his valuable contribution to the expansion of the Ghost in the Shell world, writing the scripts for Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex (2002, episodes #02, #05, #06, #07, #18, #22, #23) and its follow-up 2nd Gig (2004, episodes #04, #06, #07), producing and directing the game version for PS2, and writing three related novels. Recent credits include the scripts for Otogi Zoshi (2004, episodes #03, #05, #09, #14, #15, #19, #22) and the theatrical features xxxHOLiC and Tsubasa Chronicle (2005). Blood+ is his first challenge as chief director of a TV animation series.

AKIHARU ISHII - Animation Character Design / Chief Animation Director
Born on August 9, 1966. His credits as Character Designer and Animator include: Blue Seed TV Series (1994, animation director), Martian Successor Nadesico - The Motion Picture (1998, animation director), the videogame Scandal (2000, character design, chief animation director), Sakura Wars: The Movie (2001, animation director) and the The Prince of Tennis - Two Samurai: The First Game (2005, Character design, Chief Animation director).
