An honor student, Takashi Kamiyama transfers to notorious Cromartie High School for some reason. Instantly he finds himself among gangs that brag about their tricks on each other; everyone has strange things in their mouths; and Hayashida's Mohican head sways in front of his eyes. Kamiyama can't feel at home here. But why not join the party? He daringly decides to make his "high school debut," but it's too late... he is already in the school! Eventually, he meets Gorilla and a mysterious foreigner (?), named Freddy, who resembles a certain rock musician. He is even joined by a student who looks somewhat like a machine. What will happen to Kamiyama?
